This document discusses four brain-friendly strategies for effective presentations: 1) Allow time for attendees to make meaning and connect new information to past knowledge through discussion and reflection. 2) Use storytelling and novelty to engage attendees as the brain does not pay attention to boring things. 3) Incorporate visuals as they trump other senses in retention and learning. 4) Chunk content into 10 minute segments anchored by stories, relevancy, and how the content solves problems. The strategies help shift presentations from being speaker-centric to more learner-centric.
