Tim Smail - Servant Leadership

Leadership; the ability of a person to influence, command or direct. Somehow, this trait has lost its true meaning and come to be associated with someone in charge. Being a good manager does not necessarily imply someone is a good leader. How many of us would follow our boss into war in the boardroom or committee meeting? We need to get back to letting managers, manage and leaders, lead. And I believe we need to look no further than Jesus for what being a leader truly means. As he states in Luke, “the greatest among you become as the youngest and the leader as the one who serves.” This is my leadership story, learned the hard way!
