3. Disrupting Aquaculture Supply Chain Inputs
● The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has a goal from the
Vietnamese government
● Need more entrepreneurs, startusp and SMEs connected to everything that
keeps aquaculture alive so that it can become consumed locally and
internationally.
● Their goal is to Increase the number of entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs
focused on Aquaculture supply chain inputs such as:
● Food
● Water
● Chemicals
● Etc.

4. The key point is that there are two distribution
points for feed - one for Export and one for
Local. The quality and standards are different
and this creates a logistics problem.

5. Aquaculture Input Operators
In order to focus on inputs, the Hiệp hội representing the four area need to be
addressed first. They are on the fontlines for purchasing and understanding the
problems, and potential solutions, for aquaculture supply chain disruption.

HACCP is a

7. Aquaculture Supporters and Influencers
These are government, International Organizations, business associations and
other stakeholders that need to be addressed, educated and listened to. In
particular, the Hiệp hội at every level need to be brought in as significant
stakeholders that are helping to shape the overall solutions.

8. Suggestion: Utilize the Standards Institute of Israel
● Create cooperation with Israel to establish training franchises to implement
Standards Institute of Israel HACCP certification
● Certificate also covers ISO 22000, GlobalGap and BRC
● The Standards of Israel certification provides an organization with a Quality
Management System (according to requirements for SI ISO 9001).

9. Suggestions to Increase Israel-VN Economic Trade
● Professional Israeli training companies can establish offices, or franchises, in
Vietnam that provide training seminars culminating in certificates for the
Standards Institute.
● Another option is for Israel to negotiate sales of Vietnamese State Owned
Enterprises (SOEs) connected to the aquaculture supply chain.
● Maybe Vietnamese banks can provide Israeli firms with favorable loans or
terms.
● Maybe Israeli banks can provide Israeli firms with incentives.

10. Certification for Food Safety Management System
● Israeli aquaculture companies will establish a presence through trainings
franchise or purchase and transform existing SOE aquaculture supply chain
businesses.
● Auditors from the Standards Institution of Israel will conduct HACCP
research, and identify, maintain and meet the requirements of the relevant
legal and standards
