Supply of quality and hygienic milk to the consumers Assam Agricultural Competitiveness Project Fund for conducting the study on unorganised milk sector & its improvement Health & Family Welfare Department, GoA Test the quality of milk & other food products in the Public laboratory for ensuring food safety Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), GoA Check unauthorized and unlawful milk trades under the jurisdiction of the corporation & issue of trade license Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, GoA Check the health status of the animal for ensuring quality & improved milk production International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) Conduct research on livestock & livestock products and assist govt./ non govt. agencies by producing knowledge products (training manuals, extension materials etc.) for ensuring hygiene & food safety

Job Responsibilities Department/ Organization Job Responsibility ILRI Design & delivery of training manuals/handouts, training of Master Trainers, facilitation & coordination with the target group, design & delivery of the system for monitoring & certification & overall technical patronisation DDD Organization of the trainings of traditional market agents, documentation, monitoring , consumers awareness building, advertisement & overall implementation of the initiative AACP Provide fund for implementation of the activities and monitor the performance GMC Issue identity card and supply logo/ badge/ dress code after certified by JCMC. Monitor the market agents & their trades Vety Deptt Organize animal health check up camps & assist in public campaign Health Deptt Organize free health check up camps for milk vendors and assist in public campaign
