2. Introduction
Founded in 1977, MSU Mississauga Ltd. Is a
Canadian owned and operated manufacturer of
products for the water and wastewater
industries.
Located in south western Mississauga and
employing 16 people, the MSU Mississauga
operation is a 1488 square meter facility which
houses a full range of metal fabrication
equipment.
In house Autocad, ERP and CRM information
systems assure accuracy, consistency and
continuity from product development to
manufacture and shipment.
3. Welding
Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certified
since 1991, MSU welds to CSA standards
W47.1 and W47.2 in aluminum, steel and
stainless steel. All MSU welders and over 47
MSU welding procedures are CWB certified.
Canadian Welding Bureau certification is
required in order to comply with such codes
and standards as the Ontario Building Code,
Ontario Provincial Standards and CSA S147
Strength in Aluminum Design.

For more than 20 years, MSU has designed and manufactured access
hatches to suit many different client requirements:

7. Client Specific Product Development
Since the introduction of the Type M
hatch in 1990, MSU has developed a
number of access hatch models to suit
client specific applications.
A few examples of our innovative
hatch designs:
In 2007, MSU developed a gas tight
access hatch for the Halton Regional
Landfill in Burlington. The MSU GT
Hatch enables the landfill operators to
capture methane gas from the
leachate and use the gas to provide
heat to the facility.
8. Client Specific Product Development
In 2010, MSU developed a fall through
protection hatch with retractable railing
posts and chains.
