Jason Arndt seeks election to the city council in Gary, Indiana. He has lived in Gary for nearly a decade, where he works at Ivy Tech Community College and Indiana University Northwest. Arndt has a vision called "Gary Alive" to improve quality of life for residents by making city hall and businesses more responsive. He wants to attract new companies in technology and education to diversify Gary's economy beyond steel. As councilman, Arndt pledges to be accessible, accountable, and advocate tirelessly for improvements in all neighborhoods.

As an active community member, Jason Arndt sees the challenges in Gary’s
neighborhoods first-hand. Jason has lived and raised a family in Gary for
nearly a decade. He also works at Ivy Tech and attends school at Indiana
University Northwest and is a long time participant at the Revolution Church in
Gary. Jason has been blessed to form lasting and meaningful relationships
with his fellow citizens of Gary.
Jason has a vision for the City of Gary called Gary Alive that breathes new life
into an historic city. A vision that seeks to improve the quality of life for Gary
residents. A city where residents feel heard and their requests for service are
responded to in a professional, courteous and timely fashion. Not just a steel
city but a vision for a new tech city where city hall, businesses, and citizens
work together to protect our precious ecosystems and resources.
Gary Alive seeks to create a climate and culture that attracts and promotes
venture capital firms, incubators, digital-media companies, and educational
institutions.
As your Councilman, Jason Arndt will be accessible and accountable. He will
fight to continue the improvement of every neighborhood in Gary. He will
