- 3. What is Laughs and Heckles • ‘Laughs and Heckles’ is an amateur stand-up comedy competition • judged by 3/4 professional panellists, two of whom work in the television industry and one that is the owner of comedy clubs in London and Essex. • The show’s presenter is a professional, well known comedian – SHABBA DA COMEDIAN. • There will be 4 comedy wannabes who compete for a slot at ‘The house of stand up’ comedy venue. • The audience vote for their favourite comedian, but the final vote is down to the panel. • There is nothing like “Laugh and Heckles” on British TV – comedy panel shows are a very popular format.
- 4. Structure. • Presenter will warm up crowd on camera. • The presenter will introduce the panel. • The presenter will introduce the first act and role VT. • The ‘act’ will take the stage as VT ends. • The presenter will join the ‘act’ when he/she is finished. • The judges give they’re critique. • The audience will vote via a lighting system on the table.

- 16. Are our judges trained for live tv? • All our judges have worked on a two way headset. • All our judges have been trained in theatre. • All our judges hold many credits to be worthy of a comedy panel show such as our idea.

Target Audience. • Audience will be scouting from comedy clubs and nights. • Comedy central is an example of the audience participants • Also celebrity audience … • Winston Ellis - Definite. • Idris Elba (Awaiting dates, but friend of Winston Ellis) • Chesney Hawkes. (Singer, awaiting dates) • These people are friends but are also contacted to the panel.
- 18. Audience vote • The tables will have A ‘Red’ and a ‘Green’ light. • At the end of each performance they will turn on a light • Red is for ‘Heckles’ = Not a fan • Green is for ‘Laughs’ = A fan • The ultimate vote will be down to the panel.
