4. HHSC LMS Instances
The installed LMS instances function to cover the complete life cycle of
course management from course creation to its completion, support by
user/learner management, certification ,and course tracking, including
external collaborative tools such as forums, wikis, chats ,and blogs for the
community of knowledge creation. HHSC LMS instances support both
blended learning, mobile ,and 100% online courses.
HHSC LMS/Moodle platforms are SCORM 1.2 version complaint and are
fully accessible and usable, conforming to the following standards โ
WCAG 2.0, ATAG 2.0, Section 508 (US) & SENDA UK.

Before you login
You can preview the LRC once you open the site. There are some options available to you without logging in.
Letโs begin with the yellow ribbon located at the very top of the page.
We will start by moving from left to right on the yellow ribbon and describe each function.

with how to Log in to the LRC portal.
18. How to login
To "Log in" to the LRC site is straight forward
1. You will need to make sure you are connected to the internet.
2. Open your web browser. (LNC supports all major internet browsers such as
Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.)
3. a. For employees click on the HHS Enterprise Portal Button and you will be
taken to the Home page.
3 b. You can also enter the website address of the LNC site in the browser's
address bar. Some notifications may have a link to click on that will direct you to
the LNC site.
4. Look for a login block that will allow you to enter your username (employee ID)
and password. See the above image as an example. Remember passwords are
case sensitive.
If there isn't a log in block, click on the โ " link at the
very top right of the homepage.
5. Fill in the Username, then click on the Password box and fill it in with your

20. Login Tips
Correct username and password
Have you typed the Username and Password in correctly, exactly as you enrolled with?
Example: your name is Chris Smith, but the username you remember is csmith or chris.smith
Example: your name is Chris O'Brien, but the username you remember is cobrien
Solutions: Look closely and make sure the spelling is correct for both. Remember that the username
and password can be case sensitive.
Is the Caps-Lock key on your keyboard ON?
You could be typing CHRIS instead of chris.
Solution: check the caps-lock light on your keyboard.

Forgotten your username or password?
If you have forgotten your username or password, you can click on the link next to the login.
A page will open that allows you to search by username or email address.

Enter your username or email address and click search. If an account exist with you will receive an
email notification from the system administrator with the option to reset your password using the link
supplied.

Over the next few slides, we will discuss site navigation.
We visited some of the navigation before you logged in but now you have logged in, letโs see
the different accesses you have now.

learning portal.
Letโs talk more about the ribbon on the page header as a student.
The hamburger or accordion symbol when click opens a different list of
options now.
Now you will have direct links to the Dashboard, Calendar, Private files, and a
list of courses you have enrolled in the left side of the page.

On occasion there may be a link to the OLD LRN HHSC Learning Portal and Learning Grid (http://training.dfps.state.tx.us/lms/), which is no longer in use. Plan is to decommission. There are links to external training content on non-agency related sites, as well. For example, the training link www.shakenbaby.com is broken. If you receive a call like this, please, provide the broken link and the link to the course/name of the course from which is was accessed originally.
