My name is jamie leger, and this is my website. Please join me as i navigate a DIY music career
as an independent singer songwriter producer in the new music business.
I am a Business Coach and Marketing Consultant for Experts
(authors/speakers/coaches/consultants) and MusicPreneurs
(songwriters/artists/musicians/producers) by day, and DIY Singer Songwriter in the New
Music Industry by night. I publish the best content i can every week about a variety of
topics including: home recording, songwriting, music marketing, DIY Artist Development,
how to leverage the internet to build an audience and successful brand and spread your
message, and whatever else you want to learn about or need help with
I am a combat vet, have a 2 year certification in music production and engineering, and work as
an internet consultant for local businesses who want to leverage the web to grow their brand,
build their online presence, and attract more business.
I will be sharing insights, experiences, articles, tips, and the best stuff i find on the web.
For now I will be focusing on the things i specialize in, vocal recording, producing music in the
home studio, creating, marketing, and publishing content, and building your online presence.
I will also be sharing about artist development – as i go through it and build my career, what i
learn, my experiences, and the best resources i find.
This site is less of a personal “journal,” and more of a long-term publication on the topics i
specialize in, and the areas i’ve chosen to master.
My mission is to provide the most helpful and valuable information i can to my audience, on the
things i know and am passionate about, and then also have my music available to listen to for
anyone interested.
I say less of a personal “journal,” in the sense that i’m not going to pretend you care about my
personal musings and daydreams or abstract thoughts… Okay, I may from time to time include
my personal opinion on things but that is not the focus. The focus is on delivering great content
for you first, while also chronicling my career to share with, inspire, and help others navigating
their own way on a tough road too.
