1. Letter of Recommendation
James Ondari
I have known James for approximately two years, he first came to me having never ridden or
handled horses before, because he wanted to learn to ride to help him fulfil his ambition to join the
household cavalry. James has since then completed work experience with my team on the yard
where he learnt about handling horses, how to carry out day to day horse care tasks and how a yard
is organised and run. Since then he has been volunteering on the yard several times a week.
Although James is a relative novice he has an excellent attitude and is always striving to improve his
skills. He shows a keen interest in all aspects of horse care but really seems to have developed a
passion for Dressage and classical riding. James.is always interested in learning new things and
becoming more efficient in his work, he willtake the initiative to complete tasks he is confident with
without being prompted and strives to work to the highest standards. I would not hesitate to
recommend James for a work experience placement, I feel he would benefit greatly from
experiencing other aspects of the industry and would commit one hundred percent to any yard.
