Profile
I am presently studying for a biomedical science degree at Bangor University and am keen to hone
my skills with some scientific work experience.
I am additionally able to provide a high standard of Dental treatment in a cost effective manner
and work comfortably with all grades and nationalities of staff. I continue to keep abreast with
Continual Professional Development through online courses and subscription to the BDJ and
attendance at symposia where possible.
My current interest however is to proceed to a Master’s Degree in Cancer Genetic research on
completion of my degree course.
Work/Employment History
September 2015
In September 2015 I am enrolled in the Bachelors in medical Science at Bangor University.
I play an active role in voluntary activities and have researched internships to add to my
experience.
September 2013 –June 2015
I previously studied Forensic Science at Llandrillo College in North Wales with a view to going on to
study Forensic Odontology. This course has now been completed and I obtained the diploma at
distinction/distinction/merit level.
The following work experience relates to my earlier dental career:
November 2012-March 2013
A short term locum in an exclusive private centre in Tripoli which supplied Aesthetic Dentistry,
Crown & Bridgework and Dental Implants.
October 2011-October 2012
I was interviewed for an associate position in a mixed practice in North Wales and applied for my
Performers List Number and completed the VT equivalence courses, whilst carrying out some
treatment of Independent cases in the interim. A provisional Performer number was issued in
February 2011 whilst a six month period of mentorship was carried out. A Permanent Performer
number, (721891) was issued in August 2012.

2. July-August 2011
Al Masafi Dental Corporation planned to expand into the Oman, I undertook the M.O.H.
examination, and achieved my License and recruited a female GP to supply Paediatric &
Gynaecological services. The project was discontinued at this point for financial reasons and I
returned to the U.K. to complete my VT equivalence and return to general practice.
Dec. 2010-June 2011
Dental Consultant to Al-Masafi Dental Clinic in Kuwait and Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. This
post established a Dental Centre to supply services to Military Personnel and Contractors on the
Kandahar Air force Base and various bases in Kuwait and on establishment handed the premises
over to suitably recruited candidates.
August 2010 –November 2010
Locum Oral Surgeon to the Alchemy Practice Group in Crewe & Stoke on Trent This post involved
provision of Minor Oral Surgery predominantly surgical removal of wisdom teeth, fractured or
buried roots and impacted canines and apicectomies with retrograde root fillings, additionally
some periodontal surgery was performed. I was registered as an Honorary Tutor with Liverpool
Dental School since this post involved hands on tuition and clinical demonstration to final year
students and therapists.

On my return to the UK in accordance with recent GDC regulation I commenced the VT equivalence
course until I was offered further overseas employment.
Feb. 2003-Jan. 2009
Consultant Dental Surgeon & Acting Department head at the 11th June Medical Centre Tripoli Libya.
This post required performance of all dental treatment modalities & additionally the administrative
responsibilities of this seven surgery clinic including CPD lectures to Dental & ancillary staff as well
as Clinical Audit in Endodontia,Record Keeping & fixed prosthodontia & radiography.
Jan. 1998 until Oct. 2002
A sabbatical period from during which I nursed my Mother through her terminal illness.

Locum SHO Department of Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery Southend General Hospital This post
entailed performance of minor oral surgery under LA & GA and management of out of hour’s
emergencies including Oro-Facial trauma.

Intensive hands on Implantology course with the Dyna technique in Bergen op Zoom Holland.
