2. ADHD tends to
get over-
diagnosed
Research shows that this has
not been over diagnosed in the
overall population. However,
the juvenile nature of many
suspected patients has led
medical professionals to rush
the diagnosis before proper
evaluation.

3. Paying
attention is
impossible for
someone with
ADHD
When engaging in a
fascinating topic, people
with ADHD can focus
tremendously. Areas
where they don’t have a
particular interest can be
challenging.

4. Young people
who take ADHD
meds are more
likely to take
illegal drugs as
they get older
As long as children take the the
appropriate kind of medication at
the correct dose, they will
actually be less likely to later turn
to illegal drugs. Not giving
medicine to a child when they
truly need it is actually more
likely to result in that person
turning to illicit drugs.

5. Only males
have ADHD
Once upon a time, it was thought that
only boys could get ADHD. The
element of hyperactivity was less
likely to appear in females. However,
physicians now know that females
can have ADHD and encourage them
