- 1. 2012 CFD Lights & Sirens Public Safety Parade October 6th 2012 Fire, Police, EMS vehicles, Honor Guard/Pipe & Drum only. Antique or Modern NO throwing any items from parade units. Walk along side and handing out items is acceptable Children under the age of 14 may not hand out items along parade route NO littering in line-‐up area or on parade route NO alcoholic beverages Fire extinguisher required on all entries NO stopping during parade NO selling along parade route NO entry fee, but donations to offset parade costs welcome. Donations to: Chesterton Fire Department Line-‐up will be first come, first served Chesterton Fire Department Fire Safety Open House to follow parade @ fire station (Refreshments will be served) Awards will also be given out in the modern and antique classes for fire apparatus, police vehicle, ambulance/ems vehicle, and Honor Guard/Pipe & Drum. Parade Route: Vehicle line-‐up 8:30am along 8th Street next to the Chesterton Middle School 651 W. Morgan Ave. Chesterton, IN. Enter of Morgan Ave. Parade will step-‐off at 10:00am. Proceed north on 8th street, east on Broadway, south on Calumet, west on Porter Ave back to the middle school. All participants are welcome to come by the Open House following the parade.
