One’s Business Enterprise

“The Boston Consulting Group 2020 reports involving 5
companies publicly listed in the Philippines since 2009. The
said group claims that today almost one-tenth of all public
companies fail each year.” @Entrepreneur diaries.

more effective? Explain briefly.
The Importance of Hiring the Right People
It is much easier to know who the right person is for your
team when you have experienced hiring the wrong people.
The right person is someone that fits in and that adds to your
company, instead of taking away from what you have
created.
1.You will s
lash the costsof the hiring process
• It’s no secret that the hiring processisexpensive. Not only
do your hiring managers have to take time out of their
busyschedules, but you also have to spend money on
criminal background checks, skills tests, job board postings,
and more. When you hire the wrong person, you have to
conduct the same hiring processmore than once,essentially
doubling the cost.A good hire avoids both the second hiring
processand the added cost.
2. You won’t have to deal with the damage that a bad
hire can do to your company
ad hire can have a negative impact for a lot of
different reasons.
 can pose a safety risk to customers or colleagues
(hence the need to run criminal background checks).
 Others might steal from your company, hurt your
client relations through incompetence, or create a
negative atmosphere in the workplace.
Bad hires will almost always damage your business in
one way or another. Avoiding bad hires will keep your
enterprise untarnished.
3. You will preserve the morale of your internal teams
“No employee existsin a vacuum.”
Every personyou hire fits into your organization like a puzzle
piece in a much larger canvas. A good hire can not only add
vital new skillsand experience to your team, but can alsobring
warmth, inspiration, and camaraderie to your company
culture.
4. You will protect your image as an employer
When your company culture goesdownhill, word will
always get out. If your employeesaren’t saying good
things about your business(or if they are leaving because
they are no longer happy with their jobs), those things
reflect poorly on you as an employer. If you post the same
job twice in a six-month period, that alsoreflects poorly
on you as an employer. Hiring the right people will
protect your reputation on both fronts.
5. You won’t let good candidates go out the door
Every time you hire someone, you have to turn down
dozens of other applicants—a fair number of whom are
probably qualified for the position.
When you make a bad hire, it can be frustrating to know
that you let better candidates slip through your fingers.
You might still have contact information for some of the
people who were in your applicant pool the first time, but
the most qualified people have probably already found
other jobs and won’t be too eager to come running back
to a company that already rejected them.
• Hiring the right people today can reduce the number of
people you’ll need to hire in the future.
• When it comesto recruitment, you will want to attract
the best and the brightest people to serve as the
foundationsand grassrootsof your company.
• Your people will be your company’s greatest resource.
• Prospective hiresshould have not only great technical
skillsbut alsothe motivation to make the businessa
success.
Look for employees who:
1)Embody the company’svalues.
2) Work hard and work smart.
3) Have the specific skillsrequired.
4) Learn quickly when new skillsare needed.
5) Are able to work with little supervision.
6) Take initiative to make things happen.
7)Are comfortable in the uncertainty of an entrepreneurial
situation.
8) Are flexible to businessneedsand changing requirements.
NOTE:
Recruitment refers to the processof identifying, attracting,
interviewing, selecting, hiring and onboarding employees. In
other words, it involves everything from the identification of
a staffing need to filling it.
Selection isthe action or fact of carefully choosing someone or
something as being the best or most suitable "suchmen
decided the selection of candidates.”

  • 4. The Importance of Hiring the Right People It is much easier to know who the right person is for your team when you have experienced hiring the wrong people. The right person is someone that fits in and that adds to your company, instead of taking away from what you have created.
  • 5. 1.You will s lash the costsof the hiring process • It’s no secret that the hiring processisexpensive. Not only do your hiring managers have to take time out of their busyschedules, but you also have to spend money on criminal background checks, skills tests, job board postings, and more. When you hire the wrong person, you have to conduct the same hiring processmore than once,essentially doubling the cost.A good hire avoids both the second hiring processand the added cost.

You won’t have to deal with the damage that a bad hire can do to your company ad hire can have a negative impact for a lot of different reasons.  can pose a safety risk to customers or colleagues (hence the need to run criminal background checks).  Others might steal from your company, hurt your client relations through incompetence, or create a negative atmosphere in the workplace. Bad hires will almost always damage your business in one way or another. Avoiding bad hires will keep your enterprise untarnished.

If your employeesaren’t saying good things about your business(or if they are leaving because they are no longer happy with their jobs), those things reflect poorly on you as an employer. If you post the same job twice in a six-month period, that alsoreflects poorly on you as an employer. Hiring the right people will protect your reputation on both fronts.

You won’t let good candidates go out the door Every time you hire someone, you have to turn down dozens of other applicants—a fair number of whom are probably qualified for the position. When you make a bad hire, it can be frustrating to know that you let better candidates slip through your fingers. You might still have contact information for some of the people who were in your applicant pool the first time, but the most qualified people have probably already found other jobs and won’t be too eager to come running back to a company that already rejected them.
