The purpose ofthis assignmentis to:
 Be able to develop responses to media products
Scenario: Movie Mania, a new film magazine aimed ata target marketof 16 to 25 year olds plans to go into
production spring 2015.The magazine will be published both online and in print.You have been commissioned to
research and create a feature article about how the film audience develops responses to differentproducts.The
magazine wishes to cover a range of issues and genres which appeal to young people,so your article should be
pitched accordingly.
Task: Compile and create a podcastor feature article which details critical responses to media products,explaining
genre and narrative theory and semiotic analysis.You will apply these theories bycarrying out analysis following
the screening ofat leasttwo films.Reporton your findings after making your conclusions as well as referring to
relevant theorists and theoretical approaches.
