This study delves into the intricate dynamics of how institutionalized religion leverages economic tactics to shape gender norms, identities, and societal stigmas. To discern these influences, the research method employs an examination of literature prominently displayed for purchase in various retail environments, frequently referred to as "impulse buy" items. The study focuses on books and magazines—from diverse categories—strategically situated in high-traffic retail locations. This approach offers an innovative method of exploring societal stigmas through the lens of consumer behavior.
