3. The city of Tarragona has 140.000 inhabitants
(Catalonia has 7.000.000 inhabitants)
We are at the coast of the country
and near Barcelona, our capital (100 km).
Two important places in Tarragona are the beach and the
roman heritage (here you can see the amphitheatre).

4. This is our Secondary – High School.
We are 174 years old (49 years in this building).
We are the second oldest high school in Catalonia.

7. IN OUR HIGH SCHOOL (in Catalan, batxillerat) we have 6
programmes:

humanistic,

musical art.

8. Languages are very important for us. We teach:
- Catalan (vehicular language in all subjects and
first language of some students)
- Spanish (language subject and first language of some
students)
- English (as first and second foreign language)
- German (as first and second foreign language)
- French (as first and second foreign language)

YEAR 7: Natural Science and Social Science
YEAR 8: Physics and Chemistry and Social Science
YEAR 9: Biology and Physics and Chemistry
YEAR 10: Crystallography
Some stundents participate in

programmes.
