MN exports reach record levels in 2014

• Minnesota exports increased by $600M (2.9%) to a record level of $21.4B in 2014, helping contribute to a
record $2.35T in U.S. exports. Minnesota manufactured exports increased by 2.2 percent to $19.7B,
compared to a 1.5 percent increase nationwide.
• According to the MN Department of Employment and Economic Development, Minnesota’s three largest
markets in 2014 were Canada ($5.56B), Mexico ($2.24B) and China ($2.23B). According to the U.S.
Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, Minnesota exports were led by computer &
electrical products ($3.8B), machinery, except electrical ($3.2B) and transportation equipment ($2.6B).
