Vienna has achieved zero emissions from waste management and ranks first for quality of life. It has an extensive public transportation system, including 5 subway lines spanning 104 stations and 74.6 km of track, 29 tram lines totaling 227 km making it the largest system in the world, and was the first city to operate a full fleet of electric buses. The city also has over 1,200 km of bike paths and lanes and a bike share program with 1,400 bicycles available at 116 stations.
