1. Financing a Client who’s Source of Income is the Management of Hotels that Deal in Prohibitions 1
Question:
The bank plans to finance a client with a substantial amount, except that it has become apparent that his source of income is from managing four hotels that deal in some prohibitions, is it permissible to grant this client financing from the bank?
Answer:
When the client approaches the bank for a transaction, the bank should not look into his income sources, whether they are permissible or not, because his earning is on him either a sin or a reward. It is therefore, permissible for the bank to enter into such transaction with him, as long as the sources of his incomes are a mixture or are diverse and are not been predominated by the impermissible income.
