6. It is already an accepted fact that Shariah Supervisory
Board, heavily take care of ethical and health values of
the products eligible for human consumption. However,
we have a vast market of over 1.5 billion consumers
scattered all over the globe.
With the ever growing demand for certified halal
consumer products there is a dire need for the
manufacturers to get their products certified in addition
to following the quality standards.
It will enable them to win the consumer trust both from
the Muslim and as well as non-Muslim consumers as it is
thoroughly scrutinized from the process flow to
ingredients, enough for detecting any doubtful elements.
1. Halal Certification
7. As Muslims, It is our duty to eat Halal food
while in the Holy Quran it has been stressed
heavily on consumption of food which fulfills
certain criteria eligible to be Halal. Some
verses are:
“So eat of that (meat) upon which Allah's name
has been mentioned, if you are believers in His
verses” (Al-Anaam 6:118)
From Haadiths:
Ka`b Ibn Ujrah relates that the Prophet of Allah
(PBUH) said, “a body nourished with Haram will
not enter Jannah”. (Tirmidhi)
