Communications during business and management changesDESCRIPTION:ROLES AND ACHIEVEMENTS:Communications during merges and acquisitions in VimpelCom(NYSE:VIP) in 2009 to increase employees’ awareness of the businessprocesses and the outcomes + communications during the MegaFon(LSE:MFON) IPO process in order employees how exactly that influencestheir jobs in particular and how things in the company will change.Managed the communications plan and supervised all the events andactivities.Accomplishments:•Several big meetings with the CEO and employees were held.•Organised CEO’s interviews on the Intranet portal and in internalmagazine for employees.•Organised CEO’s video address to the employees of the both companies– merging and merged.•Organised team-building events for the company’s team, providingaccommodation, content part etc.•Issued articles in the Intranet and corporate magazine about the IPOprocess in general: what is IPO? Internal Printed MaterialsEXAMPLES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:•Supervised the issue of the first MegaFon (LSE:) informationnewsletter for employees of the customer offices withrecommendations of how to provide assistance to people withdisabilities.•Supervised the issue of internal newsletters for VimpelCom(NYSE:VIP) sales managers on a monthly basis in Central Russia.•Participated in the process of issue corporate magazines andnewspapers.
Crisis Communications and Special Internal EventsEXAMPLES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:•Implemented an internal communication program for VimpelCom(NYSE:VIP) employees in the period of the competitor’s marketexpansion to keep high morale and motivation and to remindemployees about the company’s strength and reputation.•Facilitated and managed the implementation of a communicationprogram for VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) employees across Central Russiato celebrate the 10 years anniversary of operations, providing eventsand publications, including the launch of the “VimpelCom People”website (http://www.beelinepeople.ru).•Implemented the ‘HR brand Number 1 in Russia’ program,promoting the VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) call-centres as the prestigiousand safe place to work in.•Implemented the program which encouraged senior students towork with new students to help them succeed and assimilate socialand study lifestyles, reducing social isolation and developing the senseof community. The program was called “Introducing to Student’s Life”; itwas developed in 2005 and up until now it remains one of the bestpractices in MESI, adopted by all university’s branches across Russia.
