2. Bhadra Fort
Built of 8 gates and 14 bastion towers, Bhadra
Fort was once a very prominent fort in the
subcontinent of India. Established in 1411, it
covered a vast area of 43 acres and consisted of
162 houses. It was renovated in 2014 by the ASI.

3. Kaligam Fort
Kaligam Fort lies on the outskirts of the city of
Ahmedabad, totally obscure from the rest of the
world and hence, less visitors. Historians claim
that the flat bricks used in its construction are
evidence of the Mughal style of architecture.

4. Lakhota Fort
Lakhota Fort was built in the middle of the
artificial Lakhota Lake. This lake was meant to
serve as a water reservoir when needed. Now in
ruins, but with a museum that is mostly
attractive because of the skeleton of a whale that
is on display!

5. Kanthkot Fort
Located on a rocky hill, Kanthkot Fort was
constructed in the 9th century CE. There are
three temples here, each one dedicated to a god-
- Kanthadnath, Mahavir, and the Sun.

6. Bhujia Fort
Known as much in history as in mythology, Bhujia
Fort was named after Bhujanga Naga, an Indian
snake deity. It was built in the 18th century by
Rao Godji I of the Jadeja clan, dedicated to
Bhujanga Naga.
