A Perspective Story

  1. 1. “ a Perspective story”
  2. 2. There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.
  3. 3. The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.
  4. 4. When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen
  5. 5. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise .
  6. 6. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfilment.
  7. 7. The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.
  8. 8. He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season. That the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and the love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.
  9. 9. If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfilment of your fall.
  10. 10. Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don't judge life by one difficult season.
  11. 11. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come.
  12. 12. Aspire to Inspire Before You Expire
  13. 13. Live Simply Love Generously. Care Deeply. Speak Kindly. Leave the Rest to the Universe .
  14. 14. Happiness keeps You Sweet, Trials keep You Strong,
  15. 15. Sorrow keeps You Human
  16. 16. Failure keeps You Humble
  17. 17. Success keeps You Growing,
  18. 18. But only You , can keep You Going
  19. 19. Invictus by William Ernest Henley Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find me, unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul.
