This document discusses the evolution of fashion shows in Ibiza towards more sustainable practices. It describes how Nadège Seguín and Luka Criscuolo of the brand Etikology brought attention to Fashion Revolution Day, which commemorates the 2013 Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh that killed over 1,000 workers. This event helped promote the inevitable shift toward slow fashion - focusing on sustainability, eco-friendliness, and ethics. With support from local institutions, they organized one of the most internationally visible catwalks for sustainable and artisanal fashion from Ibiza, featuring brands like Etikology, Monika Maxim Ibiza, and Tanit Jeans Ibiza.

Slow Fashion Catwalk in Ibiza Highlights Sustainability
1. Natural Adlib
La Evolución
Necesaria
FASHION / MODA
Lo llamen como
lo llamen el
desarrollo natural
y necesario de la
pasarela ibicenca
está aquí. Pure
Adlib, Adlib de
vanguardia, Craft
Adlib, Revolution
Adlib… Muchos
son los títulos que
podría ostentar
la pasarela que
más a dado que
hablar estos dos
últimos años. Y
todos aportarían
un valor añadido
e imprescindible.
Pero para eso
hay que conocer
el porqué de la
necesidad de ese
cambio. Y una
vez superado el
discurso de que
si no es blanco
no es Adlib,
nos podemos
concentrar al fin en lo verdaderamente
importante y esencial, que es: cómo
producen las marcas que pertenecen a
esta gran familia. Pero para eso primero
nos tendremos que remitir a sus inicios.
Call it what you
call the natural
and necessary
development of the
Ibiza fashion show
is here. Pure Adlib,
avant-garde Adlib,
Craft Adlib, Adlib
Revolution ... There
are many titles that
could have been
given to the Ibiza
fashion catwalk
that´s been talked
about for the last
two years. And
all would provide
added value and
essential. But for
that you have to
know the reason
for the need for
that change. And
once overcome
the discourse that
if it is not white is
not Adlib, we can
concentrate at
last on the truly
important and essential, which is: how
the brands that belong to this great
family are produced. But for that, first we
will have to refer to its beginnings.

closer to Fashion Revolution Day.
An international initiative that every
April 24 commemorates the disaster
of Plaza Rana in Bangladesh in 2013
that caused the death of 1,133 people
and 2,500 injured
people who worked
inside a factory in
subhuman conditions
for well-known fashion
brands. Providing with
this act, not only a
support but enough
argumentation to get
into the movement currently unavoidable
and inevitable that is Slow Fashion, a
concept that encompasses currents
of sustainable fashion, eco, green, and
ethics.
And the result with the support of the
Ministry of Industry and local institutions
was: one of the catwalks with the most
international exposure dedicated to
sustainable and handcrafted fashion but
this time with the Made in Ibiza label.
which include brands such as Etikology,
Monika Maxim Ibiza, Trinidades Ibiza,
Estrivancus, K Kose-kose privé, Tanit
Jeans Ibiza, La Brisa Ibiza, Ángela Martí
and Belén Boheme.
