Reference Letter for Ian Rush
To whom it may concern,
I have had the opportunity to work with Ian Rush over the course of the past few months. Ian
has worked as an Engineering Intern with 3M at New Ulm since the beginning of the 2016 summer. Ian
has worked with me on a few different projects.
The first was an experiment I left up to Ian to plan and conduct. I gave him the basic premise
and Ian enthusiastically took it from there. Ian was resourceful and asked appropriate questions along
the way. The experiment required knowledge of thermodynamics and use of the scientific method. The
results were well communicated and we were pleased with the results. The information gained from
the experiment helped to shape the direction of the project.
Ian also helped me with an experiment to increase the efficiency of one of our machines. Ian
help conduct the experiment and offered helpful insight. Ian has a knack for creativity and the ability to
consider multiple perspectives before coming to a conclusion. Ian clearly shows excellent drive and
discipline in his work.
