This letter of reference is in regard to Michael Pando, who worked as an engineering technician for
Driesenga & Associates, Inc. in an internship position during the summer of 2015. As his direct
supervisor, I found Mr. Pando to be punctual, hardworking, and eager to learn.
Mr. Pando’s primary responsibilities consisted of laboratory and field testing of concrete and soil
for various commercial construction projects, both large and small. He began working for us with
little experience in the type of work he was to perform. He was trained in-house by senior staff,
and demonstrated an aptitude of learning quickly. In a very short time frame, he was able to perform
his job duties with minimal assistance.
Mr. Pando’s work ethic and technical skills were an asset to D&A. As he gains education and
experience throughout his career, I believe Mr. Pando will be an asset to the engineering profession,
and he would make a fine addition in the civil engineering department of any firm.
