Humphrey W. Ndekerere was born in the current Bungoma County in western Kenya on March
31st 1987. He is the 3rd born in a family of 5, The Ndekereres.
Humphrey attended primary education at Moi Avenue Primary school for the first 4 years of his
primary education. He later joined the current St. Cecilia Mixed Boarding and Day Primary
school where he graduated to secondary school with a mean grade of A- (383 Marks) in his
K.C.P.E exams, the year 2002.
In 2003, he joined Bungoma High School where he studied for 1 year, then he enrolled in
Uganda Martyrs High School Rubaga in Kampala, Uganda. At Uganda Martyrs High school, he
was appointed the Creative Writing editor for the 2004 school magazine.
Between 2005 and 2006, Humphrey served as a school prefect in the department of computer at
the school. He graduated from O’ Level with Grade I (18 aggregates in 8 subjects) in 2006 and
enrolled in London College of St. Lawrence for his A’ Level in 2007. He graduated from A’
Level in 2008.
Humphrey worked as a volunteer at the Tea Board of Kenya during the 2009 Nairobi
International Trade Fair.
He then enrolled at Multimedia University College of Kenya in 2010 where he acquired his
International Diploma in Computer Studies and his International Advanced Diploma in
Computer Studies. He graduated with a merit in 2012.
After college, he worked as a casual in the technical department at Zeaconsult late 2012, where
he got involved in the digitization processes. He kick-started his freelancing in ICT services in
the same year.
In 2014, Humphrey enrolled as an intern in the Kenya Youth Empowerment Program (KYEP)
that was coordinated by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) in collaboration with
the Ministry of Devolution and Planning, and funded by the World Bank.
The empowerment program saw him work for Career Options Africa LTD as an intern in 2015.
In the same year, he joined a group of like-minded youths who were business-oriented. As a
group, they started a limited liability company, (Wide Focus Ventures). Humphrey served as the
first vice chairman for the company.
