IFI INSULATION SOLUTIONS HAVE A NUMBER OF BENEFITS:
• THERMAL PERFORMANCE
Improve temperature control in your
home, office or commercial building.
• ACOUSTICAL CONTROL
IFI insulation forms a sound barrier by
sealing off potential sound transmission
points absorbing sound energy and
reverberations.
• FIRE RETARDANT
IFI insulation is non-combustible and
will not allow heat to penetrate through
it.
• CORROSION INHIBITOR
• PEST CONTROL
IFI insulation contains natural minerals
which deters pests.
• MOLD RESISTANT
The insulation forms a thermal barrier
that reduces the likelihood of moisture
development and maintains maximum
thermal efficiency.
• LONG TERM COST SAVINGS
Insulation is one of the fastest and most
cost effective ways to reduce energy
waste make your home more
comfortable year-round.
• ENERGY EFFICIENCY
The addition of insulation reduces the
need for heating or cooling.
• LIGHTWEIGHT
• EASY TO INSTALL

Where to insulate?
Adding insulation in the areas of:
1. Attic
2. Walls
3. Floors
4. Basement
5. Crawlspace
May be the best way to improve the energy
efficiency and thermal properties of your home,
office or commercial building.
IFI offers a range of different insulation solutions which can be installed to achieve the required R
Value (R Value = Resistance value—a higher R-value equals better insulation)

Should I insulate my home?
You should insulate your home when:
• You have an older home without insulation. Homes without insulation can use up to 60% more energy
per square foot than those with insulation.
• You are uncomfortably hot in the warmer months or cold in the cooler months—adding insulation
creates a more uniform temperature and increases comfort.
• You are building a new home or renovating your current home.
• You pay high energy bills.
• You are bothered by noise—insulation can absorb sound.

IFI has a range of tailored solutions to enable you to
achieve your thermal and acoustic requirements
LOOSE FILL CELLULOSE INSULATION
Loose fill insulation is a product used for insulating ceiling cavities. It is suitable for newly constructed buildings as
well as existing structures. The product has good thermal properties which help to moderate the temperature of the
building, can assist with acoustic control, is fire retardant, and has pest and mold control properties.
STABILIZED CELLULOSE INSULATION
Stabilised cellulose insulation can be installed into the roof cavities of most properties offering an environmentally
friendly option for insulating. Additionally, for new houses, the insulation can be installed into the wall cavities before
the plaster or drywall is installed. This insulation has great thermal and acoustic properties saving homeowners
money on heating and cooling, and is also resistant to pests and mould as well as being fire retardant. The dense
nature of this insulation makes it more efficient than traditional fibreglass insulation. Because the stabilized cellulose
insulation is applied with a solution the insulation ‘sets’ and is no longer a loose product and acts as custom made
insulation batts.
WET SPRAY CELLULOSE INSULATION
Wet spray exposed insulation is suitable for a range of building types
including commercial, industrial and residential. It is able to be sprayed
directly onto a number of surfaces including metal, concrete, wood, and
plaster. This insulation type can be applied at a range of thicknesses
ranging from 16mm to 90mm, allowing the required R-value to be
achieved and more optimum thermal and acoustic control. Additionally,
an advantage of this particular insulation is that in large industrial
buildings it can allow for a better seal against air infiltration by sealing
voids and other structural irregularities. Because of the specific
application process which produces a seamless finish, maximum thermal
efficiency is reached which ultimately saves money on heating and
cooling costs. Wet spray cellulose is applied from 16mm thick; and can
be applied up to 90mm when required.
Applications for wet spray cellulose
insulation include:
• Warehouses
• Factories
• Auditoriums
• Theaters
• Churches
• Pubs
• Restaurants
• Nightclubs
• Multi-storey car parking facilities
DENSE PACK CELLULOSE INSULATION
Dense pack cellulose insulation is appropriate for existing houses where insulation needs to be retrofitted. The
insulation is installed into the existing wall cavities by making a small hole in the plaster and using a hose to blow in
the cellulose fibre. The insulation is packed down tightly so that it fills the entire wall cavity creating a seal between
the inside and outside of the house. This allows for better temperature control making it more efficient to heat and
cool the building and also blocks the amount of sound which can travel into and out of the building.
The benefit of dense pack insulation is that it allows for insulation to be installed in existing structures without
removing interior drywall or exterior cladding to gain access to the stud cavities.
COMFORT
The comfort and easy handling during the installation comes from the softer new generation of glass mineral wool.
Less DUSTY. Less ITCHY.
ECOLOGICAL
Eco-wool is made from up to 80% glass cullets and locally sourced raw material helping to improve sustainability
and address environmental concerns.
ENHANCED PERFORMANCE
Eco-wool has been engineered to provide the highest level of thermal, acoustic and fire safety performance for
building occupants to achieve the level of indoor comfort and safety deserved.
ERGONOMICALLY FRIENDLY
Eco-wool is lightweight making it easy to handle, transport, lift and install.
Choose ecowool for your wall insulation needs and take advantage of the benefits:
ECO-WOOL INSULATION BATTS
Eco-wool batts are a light weight and sound absorbent insulation solution. The product
is an eco-friendly alternative and is formaldehyde free, perfect for allergy suffers.
This product will improve thermal performance in addition to excellent sound
absorption properties. The insulation is installed by cutting to shape and placing in the
open wall cavities or roof cavity.
If required, IFI can tailor make Eco-wool batts or blankets to a customers desired size.
