The colours in the brochure are primarily for identification purposes only
and not an exact match to the colour of the product.
Stock availability
Items in the brochure are supported by stock/work in progress. However,
during periods of peak demand or replenishment, we reserve the right to
quote delivery dates on any items.
Subject to a minimum quantity and delivery date to be confirmed
on application.
Customer Design Service
Estimates for design, development and production sampling will be agreed prior to
work commencing.
Terms & Conditions of Sale (within the UK)
Invoices valued at £200 or less must be paid in full before shipment.
There will be no delivery charge for orders over £300.
A carriage charge of £7.50 per consignment will apply to all orders under £300.
Returns must be noted within 7 days of receipt.
Small orders with a value of less than £25 will be subject to a charge of £5 to cover
admin and p&p costs.
Specials will be subject to an additional cost subject to negotiation.
Cancellation of orders must be confirmed in writing and may be subject
to penalty charges.
Payment is due 30 days from date of invoice. The Company shall be entitled
to charge interest on overdue invoices at the rate of 2% per month.
All goods shall remain the property of The House of Cheviot Ltd until paid for
in full.

Traditional instinct and

In 2002, James Wright and Robin Deas joined forces to establish House of Cheviot
in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The company has its base in the world
renowned home of luxury knitwear where tradition stretches back to 1771 when
Baillie John Hardie introduced the first stocking frame to Hawick and kick started
a local industrial revolution.
When deciding a name for the company, James, who is based in Yorkshire, and
Robin who lives in Hawick agreed that the iconic Cheviot Hills, on the Scottish and
English border, was the obvious choice.
From the outset they set out to be the best in their marketplace. After ten years
of commitment to their workforce and personal service to the finest retailers
throughout the UK no one can deny what they have achieved.
The House of Cheviot’s reputation has been built on new levels of creativity in
design combined with traditional knitting skills producing the finest country socks,
shooting stockings and kilt hose anywhere in the world.
