4. Carrier Aggregation offers and inverse multiplexing facility that allows an UE to substantially increase
the overall data rate it can achieve by allowing an eNB to schedule capacity for it on multiple cells or
‘carriers’ simulataneously.
CA Basics
In each UE aggregation set there will be 1 PCELL and up to 4 SCELL.
RRC and SSC are handled by the PCELL whereas SCELL provide additional user plane capacity
