How to keep them
Millenials have little tolerance for
entry-level tasks. Find some
challenging tasks for them and
make sure they evolve in
the company. They are
used to fast progression
in games and you may want
to create more intermediate
jobs to allow them to grow and
expand their skills.
They can be great ambassadors.
If they love the workplace they will
talk about it on social media.
Most of them have a big reach and
can provide a favorable image of
your business and solicit more
applicants for job listings.
They love receiving continuous
feedback. Instead of
monitoring performance only
once or twice a year you could
decide to do a non-formal
assessment after each project or at
regular intervals.

• Encourage them to pursue outside
projects and interests to prevent
burnout and negative feelings directed
towards their position in your company.
• Let them design their own work hours at the office by
setting up a block of time when you want everyone there but
letting each worker determine how early they will come in
and how late they will stay on either side of that block of
time.
• Create seasonal hours in the summer where each
employee has a four-day work week, some with Mondays
off, some with Fridays. Or, let them create a four-day work
week by working a longer day to make up for the extra day.
