Education For All Handicapped Children Act
These laws listed below were unfortunately put in place to fight the ignorance and blatant discrimination disabled people were faced with. While
these laws are a blessing to many, the fact that they had to be put in place reflect terribly, but truthfully on how many people see people with
disabilities. My only hope is that one day these laws will be unnecessary, because people will start to treat those with disabilities according to their
needs.
IDEA; Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 1990
1.IDEA or Individuals with Disabilities Education, formerly known as the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EHA) lasted from 1970 to
1990. Then in 1990, the United States Congress changed the title to IDEA.
2.This act was solely focused on affording children with disabilities the same opportunity of education as children without disabilities. The act states
that schools must serve the educational needs of eligible students with disabilities; they also must evaluate students suspected of having disabilities.
This is beneficial to children who parents suspect need testing, but cannot afford testing or help.
IDEA is composed with four parts. Part A is the general provisions of the law. Part B covers aid of education for all children with disabilities. Part C
is for infants and toddlers with disabilities, this includes children from birth to age three. Finally Part D is the national support programs. Parts A, B, C,
and D are all essential to the utmost fulfillment

2007 the number grew to 710,371 children needing services. Although, the number of children grew almost 23 percent from 1995, means that the effort
to identify children at earlier ages has increased. Along with providing assists to infants through 5 years old, the funded Pre–Elementary Education
Longitudinal study, which evaluate almost 3,000 preschools that received some form of services in 2003–04 school year, found that roughly 16 percent

The learning experience should be that of a collective nature where students are able to indiscriminately relate to the information, re–teach the

"Education for All" Growing up in a country where you had to pay for education starting in
Kindergarten was tough, and where only middle and upper class people received the best education was frustrating for a low income student. Many

I disagree with Bloom because he encourages the idea of taking extra irrelevant classes to achieve the experience of education. It usually takes about
four years to earn a bachelors degree. There are many courses such as English, math, history, art, etc. that a student must go through before they get to
start on the classes that concentrate on their intended major. These basic courses are part of a program called general education. After completing
general education (which usually takes about two years), the students can then begin to study for their degree. Colleges should abandon the law of
students having to take general education courses because the courses are irrelevant to their field of study, unnecessary and a waste of time. Instead of
taking the extra courses, students can simply meet their needs of a degree in a shorter period of time. Also, Bloom not only that wants students to take
general education courses, he wants them to further their education by taking advanced irrelevant courses. Therefore, in their future, they would have

While these laws are a blessing to many, the fact that they had to be put in place reflect terribly, but truthfully on how many people see people with disabilities. My only hope is that one day these laws will be unnecessary, because people will start to treat those with disabilities according to their needs. IDEA; Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 1990 1.IDEA or Individuals with Disabilities Education, formerly known as the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EHA) lasted from 1970 to 1990. Then in 1990, the United States Congress changed the title to IDEA. 2.This act was solely focused on affording children with disabilities the same opportunity of education as children without disabilities. The act states that schools must serve the educational needs of eligible students with disabilities; they also must evaluate students suspected of having disabilities. This is beneficial to children who parents suspect need testing, but cannot afford testing or help. IDEA is composed with four parts. Part A is the general provisions of the law. Part B covers aid of education for all children with disabilities. Part C is for infants and toddlers with disabilities, this includes children from birth to age three.
