Expectations &
Consequences
Cell phones are a
distraction for learning and
are not allowed
Every after care student needs their own space. Each child was
separated and seated to face the board. Anyone who needed help
may ask a tutor or have them explain it on the board.
If a student is working on the
same homework as a friend,
they may work together to
complete the assignment.
“Teachers who love
teaching teach students to
love learning.”
Reflection on Student
• Beginning- didn’t want to do Math, upset knowing
Common core standards make him learn it for each
grade, avoided it, dependent on help taking each
problem slowly, we looked for strengths such as
friendly, organized to praise him
• Middle weeks- learned strategies, board work,
repetitious practice and he got it
• Ending weeks- he was teaching others!
If a student is done with their homework, they may
play an educational game that they choose. Here, the
students are playing silent ball and every time they
receive a ball they must state a fact that they learned
throughout their day.
Before a student leaves, they must
answer the…
“The most valuable resource that
all teachers have is each other.
Without collaboration, our growth
is limited to our own perspectives.”
-Robert John Meehan
