• The Coca-Cola Company is the largest drink company in the world,
serving customers from more than 200 countries with over 500
different brands.
• May 8, 1886; 131 years ago
5. HISTORY
• The company is best known for its flagship product Coca-Cola,
invented in 1886 by pharmacist John Pemberton in Columbus,
Georgia.
• Originally intended as a patent medicine.
6. COCA COLA PAKISTAN:
• Coca-Cola Pakistan entered the Pakistani market in 1953, with the
first plant being set up in Karachi.
• Then in 1996, Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited (CCBPL) was
established to acquire all the bottling plants and operate these to the
highest standards of quality for which Coca-Cola is well-known,
throughout the world.
• At the end of 2013 it was operating 6 bottling plants and 13
warehouses throughout the country

• Coca-Cola Hellenic is committed to developing and applying effective
occupational health and safety (OH&S) systems, standards and
practices appropriate to risks associated with its business activities.
• Coca-Coca implements Occupational Health and Safety Assessment
Series standard OHSAS 18001.
• OH&S 18001 : This program aims to provide and maintain a healthy,
safe working environment and to minimize the risks to employees,
contractors, visitors and others who may be affected by the activities
of the company, while fulfilling consumer and customer expectations
of high quality, safe products.

1. Provide an environment where work-related health and safety risks
are controlled to prevent injuries and occupational ill health.
2. Comply with all national government and regulatory OH&S
requirements in all Coca-Cola Hellenic territories and to conform to
relevant international standards by implementing continuous
improvement programs.
3. Implement an effective OH&S management programme integral to
ongoing business activities, which will:
a) Identify, assess and control risks from known causes of occupational
injuries and ill health associated with workplace processes and working
environments.

b) Ensure that all employees, at every level of the organization,
understand and commit to implementation of the Coca-Cola Hellenic
OH&S policies and practices.
c) Develop employee OH&S competency through effective training and

external audit and validation.
e) Investigate the causes of work-related injuries and ill health and
take action to prevent recurrence.

13. HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY
• The Human Rights Policy applies to Coca-Cola HBC, the entities that it
owns, the entities in which it holds a majority interest, and the
facilities that it manages.
1. Respect for Human Rights:
Coca-Cola HBC respects human rights. We are committed to
identifying and preventing any adverse human rights impacts in
relation to our business activities through human rights due diligence
and preventive compliance processes.

We provide a safe and healthy workplace and comply with
applicable safety and health laws, regulations and internal
requirements. We are dedicated to maintaining a productive

continually improve health and safety in our workplaces, including the
identification of hazards and remediation of health and safety issues.

3. Workplace Security:
We are committed to maintaining a workplace that is free from
violence, harassment, intimidation and other unsafe or disruptive
conditions due to internal and external threats. Security safeguards for
employees are provided as needed and will be maintained with respect
for employee privacy and dignity.
4. Forced Labor and Human Trafficking:
We prohibit the use of all forms of forced labor, including
prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, military labor, slave labor
and any form of human trafficking.

We prohibit the hiring of individuals that are under 18 years of
age for positions in which hazardous work is required.

We compensate employees competitively relative to the

18. Fleet Safety Policy
• Coca-Cola Hellenic cares about the health and safety of its employees
and those affected by the Company’s business activities. As part of its
Occupational Health and Safety policy, the senior management of the
Company has committed to minimising the risk of injury and death
resulting from work-related vehicle accidents and encourages all
employees to apply safe vehicle practices during non-business hours.
Coca-Cola Hellenic’s commitment to minimise the risk of vehicle
accidents requires all operations to:
1. Comply with all vehicle and driver safety legislation.
2. Communicate fleet safety responsibilities and accountabilities to all
employees.

defensive driving.

safety of all products that the Company manufactures.
The following food safety and quality principles are the foundation of

environmental performance in the area of packaging and packaging
waste. All Coca-Cola Hellenic territories are committed to continuous
improvement, which is measured and evaluated for effectiveness.
• The Company supports the implementation of post-consumer
packaging schemes in all countries. The objectives are to:
1. Co-own the country packaging management scheme (recovery
organisation).
2. Participate as an active member of the Management Board of
Recovery Organisations with the appropriate participation at a
senior level.

authorized recovery organisations.

for dealing with the environmental impact of used packaging and
packaging materials.
