Project Description Unilever Sri Lanka (USL) is using IBM Cognos EnterprisePlanning Version
10.2 (Adytum as popularly known among the users) for Forecastingand
Costing. Data is uploaded in thesystem using comma separated files (.CSV)
and also collected from the user using contributor application (Web interface).
As part of implementation USL has decided to migratethe all the Costing and
Forecastingapplication into IBM Cognos TM1 version 10.2.1 and use IBM
Cognos Business Intelligence 10.2.1 for reportingpurpose.

module category wise like foods, water, export and home & personal care for
forecasting and budgeting.
Additional module GMVA (Gross Margin Variance Analysis) and SEGA
(Segmental Development).
GMVA used for to calculate the Gross Margin Variance Analysis based on
Forecasted and actual data for all category module
SEGA Balance Sheet intends to allocate accounts to various brands quarterly

FORD Project
I have created a presentation document for FORD for budgeting and forecasting application. This is a legacy
system for to support in Oracle 11g, Excel, VBA macroand front Java framework.Along with support activity , will
have to work on to convert this application into Hyperion for management reporting.
Recently created a sample budgeting forecasting application in Hyperion Essbaseand used Smart View for
reports. My role was to manage the team of 2 members. I have also involved in creating the dimension tables,
calculation formulas and prepared the dummy data for to test the application in development environment.

Every month, we move the application from Production to QA box and then we do the monthly update of dList,
eList, dcube update and validate the data in Planning Analyst of QA for the current actual month. Once we receive
the communication from business in regards to the data is final, the data will be loaded to the respective
application in QA. Upon validation of data the application will be moved from QA to production for entry
purpose.
All the application will be published in tableonly layout. The published database will be used for the management
reporting using cognos BI.
Business uses the cognosfor BI reporting. There are reports and Cubes are developed to analyse the data.
Manager Finance from 2nd Feb 2014 to 02nd Jan 2015 – Location Hyderabad
In the month of Feb 2014, I was transferred to Hyderabad to manage the FP&A team. During this period I have
managed the Business Objects report, MS Access Report and MS Excel report with VBA macro with a team of 2
members.
When working on this, noticed that there are many reports can be automated to reduce the preparing time of the
monthly reports which are to be submitted to the business. In order to reduce the time, implemented MS Access
and pushed the data into MS Excel to create the reports quickly. The reports will be refreshed by clicking the
button.
Theteam was able to finish the transition activity for Order to Cash reports of Business Objects. The whole
transition was finished in 2 months.

I have involved in Cognos support and Sun financial Systems Support during month end. Every month used to
prepare month end time table for support activities. Also,done the data integrity checking and informing the
management for thedata is fine for reportingand analysis.Thedata integrity checking is nothing but matching the
data warehouse data with source data of sun systems.
In Misys consolidation happens in Cognos Controller. This was done by management accounts team. During data
upload if any error occurs, will be involved in troubleshooting the errors.
Infor (FMS) Sun Financial System
Misys’s financial department is using Sun Systems 5.2 SP23 for their accounting. My role is to inv olve in day to day
support for the said system functionally and technically. Also to develop any report/interface required by users.
Misys is using a report tool Vision 6.3.3 for their reports. This tool can extract transactions from financial systems
database and the report can be designed as per the requirement. In vision reporting tool, the users can have
summary report, summary link report, detailed reports and cubes. In case users want any troubleshooting, they
can go up to the transaction level. Also, the users can use this tool for their reference data and transaction entries to
upload into the Sun Financial System.
I was activily involved in the following projects
Converted the reportsfrom Vision 5.1.5 to Vision 6.3.3 and migrationof SUN Systems application 5.1.5 SP1 to 5.22
version.
Data migration activity of Misys Plc company transactions from Sun 4.26 to Sun 5.22 version.
Automated the Employee reimbursement and vendor payment process. Automation means that there is no cheque
cutting. Payments will be directly credited into their account by way of direct credit using NEFT and RTGS of net
banking. Because of this automation, company has saved on cheque printing cost and time.
The above said automation was done for HDFC Bank, HSBC Manila and RBS Europe etc…

In the year 2001Jetair implemented the Infor (FMS) Sun Financial System. This company had gone for 4 modules.
The modules are Ledger Accounting, Fixed Assets Register, Corporate Allocation and The Multi Currency. This
system was implemented in the company by Deloitte, Mumbai.
I have worked as one of the core team members for implementing the system and coordinating with the
consultants.Itook trainingfrom theconsultants and then actively involved in implementing the system in Andheri
- Bombay, Nariman Point- Bombay and Jaipur etc. I have also worked as train the trainer.
Created reports in SUN and also the reports werecreated in Impromptu report writer and Crystal reports.Wehave
written programs in Visual Basic 6.0 as a front end to call the reports written in Crystal reports
I have also involved in data migration activity from old Foxpro Systems to new ERP System. These transferring
routines are useful to load the non-integrated system data to the ERP.
I have completely involved in connecting the TDS PAC application tothis ERP. Actually this is separate System. To
generate the TDS Certificates need to import the master and transaction from ERP. Once it is imported the user s
can enter the TDS paid details and generate the report of form- 26 c.
REVENUE SYSTEM
Jetair Private Limited is a GSA (General Sales Agent) for many airlines. Whatever the sales, collections, refunds are
happening at our Counters and Agents. The company has to give the necessary information to the principle
(Airline). For this the company developed an internal revenue application Ticket Stock Sale Accounting System
(TSSAS). This system will have the inputs of Passenger and Cargo.
My role in the said application to co-ordinate with the users for reports requirements. I have team of 6members to
design and develop the reports. There are around 750 reports are developed for passenger and cargo airlines. All
the said reports were developed in Crystal report based on based on query, stored procedures, table link and
Crystal queries.
PAYROLL SYSTEM
My role in payroll project is to lead the team to collect the requirement details, design and develop the payroll
system. The payroll system was developed in SQL 7.0 at the back end and payroll application is developed in VB
6.0. This system gives the employee’s salary details, monthly statutory reports of PF, ESIC, P.TAX, income Tax.
Also, through this the company can submit the yearly returns, half yearly returns of PF,ESIC, I.TAX and Form – C
and Form D registers of Bonus.
This system gives budgeting for staff cost. Since the actual staff payroll details are available in the payroll system,
the system can give the variance of budgeted staff cost vs actual staff cost. Various reports are generated for to see
the Management Information.
Data migration program was generated to import the budget and actual staff cost into our Corporate Allocation
Module and GL module of the ERP.

Upon validation of data the application will be moved from QA to production for entry purpose. All the application will be published in tableonly layout. The published database will be used for the management reporting using cognos BI. Business uses the cognosfor BI reporting. There are reports and Cubes are developed to analyse the data. Manager Finance from 2nd Feb 2014 to 02nd Jan 2015 – Location Hyderabad In the month of Feb 2014, I was transferred to Hyderabad to manage the FP&A team. During this period I have managed the Business Objects report, MS Access Report and MS Excel report with VBA macro with a team of 2 members. When working on this, noticed that there are many reports can be automated to reduce the preparing time of the monthly reports which are to be submitted to the business. In order to reduce the time, implemented MS Access and pushed the data into MS Excel to create the reports quickly. The reports will be refreshed by clicking the button. Theteam was able to finish the transition activity for Order to Cash reports of Business Objects. Misys is using a report tool Vision 6.3.3 for their reports. This tool can extract transactions from financial systems database and the report can be designed as per the requirement. In vision reporting tool, the users can have summary report, summary link report, detailed reports and cubes. In case users want any troubleshooting, they can go up to the transaction level. Also, the users can use this tool for their reference data and transaction entries to upload into the Sun Financial System. I was activily involved in the following projects

Data migration activity of Misys Plc company transactions from Sun 4.26 to Sun 5.22 version. Automated the Employee reimbursement and vendor payment process. Automation means that there is no cheque cutting. Payments will be directly credited into their account by way of direct credit using NEFT and RTGS of net banking. Because of this automation, company has saved on cheque printing cost and time. The above said automation was done for HDFC Bank, HSBC Manila and RBS Europe etc… January 2006 to 06th December 2006 Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Once it is imported the user s can enter the TDS paid details and generate the report of form- 26 c. REVENUE SYSTEM Jetair Private Limited is a GSA (General Sales Agent) for many airlines. Whatever the sales, collections, refunds are happening at our Counters and Agents. The company has to give the necessary information to the principle (Airline). For this the company developed an internal revenue application Ticket Stock Sale Accounting System (TSSAS). This system will have the inputs of Passenger and Cargo. My role in the said application to co-ordinate with the users for reports requirements. I have team of 6members to design and develop the reports. There are around 750 reports are developed for passenger and cargo airlines. All the said reports were developed in Crystal report based on based on query, stored procedures, table link and Crystal queries.
  • 8. PAYROLL SYSTEM My role in payroll project is to lead the team to collect the requirement details, design and develop the payroll system. The payroll system was developed in SQL 7.0 at the back end and payroll application is developed in VB 6.0. This system gives the employee’s salary details, monthly statutory reports of PF, ESIC, P.TAX, income Tax. Also, through this the company can submit the yearly returns, half yearly returns of PF,ESIC, I.TAX and Form – C and Form D registers of Bonus. This system gives budgeting for staff cost. Since the actual staff payroll details are available in the payroll system, the system can give the variance of budgeted staff cost vs actual staff cost. Various reports are generated for to see the Management Information. Data migration program was generated to import the budget and actual staff cost into our Corporate Allocation Module and GL module of the ERP.
