TITLE: SHIMMY ANALYSIS OF AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR at CVRDE - DRDO, Chennai –
600 054.
Objective: To Obtain the Closed form Analytical solution for the Shimmy Frequency & Velocity of the
UAV Landing gear. As the Stiffness of the landing gear plays a vital role in the Shimmy, Stiffness of the
landing gear is analyzed through FEM by using ANSYS as well as Stiffness of the landing gear Obtained
mathematically and compared both the results. The Obtained Shimmy Velocity will be applied to UAV.
TOOLS USED: PRO-E, ANSYS, MATLAB.
TITLE: ESTIMATION OF ISO FORM FACTOR FOR SPUR GEAR AND COMPARE WITH
FINITE ELEMENT METHOD.
Objective: To find out the Exact bending Stress of the Gear at root section and Critical thickness at the
root section by FEM (ANSYS), and compared it with ISO based Analytical Method. This Project is very
much useful for the Automatic Transmission Gearbox System which is used in Defence Sector.
TOOLS USED: MATLAB, ANSYS.
