Project On Embedded System LED DOT MATRIX MOVING TEXT DISPLAY IN ATMEGA 32
1. LED DOT MATRIX MOVING TEXT DISPLAY IN
ATMEGA32
(By: Habitamu A.)
2. Introduction
•Moving texts are usual for displaying information
• Via small size place we can display many information
• Like 8x8 DOTMATRIX LEDs
•Those are done by the help of microcontrollers
• Allows us to load programs and implement the code as it
instructs
•We can do this by using ATMEGA32 microcontroller
• Addition to ATMEGA32 other electronics equipment's are used
• 8x8 DOTMATRIX LEDs
• MAX7219
• LCD
5. System flow chart
•User starting system
•User type character to the virtual
terminal
• If user types “ ~ ” symbol
• LED DOTMATRIX displays default
message
• Else if the user types other character
• The typed character will slide
•The LCD displays the typed
character
6. Letter formulation
• From 8x8 matrix LEDs we use
only 8x5 LEDs to display a
single character.
• Example to display “H” we use
the following binary numbers.
And see what dot matrix looks
like
0b01111111,
0b00001000,
0b00001000,
0b00001000,
0b01111111
