of Medicine and Sports Science in The Chair of Diversity Sociology.
Participated in joint meetings for CBResearch and SROI research projects
within the collaborative framework between Pwani University and the
Technical University of Munich (TUM), had series of lectures on the Bio-
Psycho-Social Model of Health, International Classification of Function (ICF)
relating it to Kenyan context and had two Public Lectures. 1: Human wildlife
conflict in Taita Taveta County (at TUM-Freising Campus) and 2: The water
crisis in the coastal Kenya (at the Munich Ground Water Institute).

CONFERENCE/SEMINAR ORGANIZATION • Organizing an International Conference on Disability and the Global 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Can Community Based Rehabilitation Serve a Guide for Inclusive Sustainable Development, Venue: Pwani University in Kenya between 28th – 30th November 2016 • Organized and made a Presentation on PESTEL in an International Summer School held at Pwani University involving students and staff from the Technical University of Munich and supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) held at Pwani University in 2015 • From 7th -19th August 2014 organized and made presentations in a Summer School held at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Munchen with students both from TUM and Pwani University (PU) under the Community Based Rehabilitation Research (CBR) project being implemented by TUM and PU on the basic module on Disability and the module on Disability and Education within the framework of United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disability (UNCRPD) on Inclusion. • Organized an International conference on “(Dis)ability, Participation and Community involvement - Tracing the Roots of CBR, held on 2nd and 3rd December 2013 at Pwani University, Sponsored by DAAD, Technical University of Munich, Pwani University, The Germany Ministry of Economic Corporation and Max plunk Institute • Organizing and will facilitate DAAD/NCST Proposal Writing workshop to be held at Pwani University College from 16-17th September, 2011 covering participants at PhD and PhD prospective candidates from scientific institutions in Coast Province, courtesy of Kenya DAAD Scholars Association (KDSA). 40 | P a g e
  • 41. 2016 CURRICULUM VITAE • Organized and facilitated an International Research Methodology seminar for Senior Military Officers (from all over Africa) in January 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 at the Defense Staff College (DSC) in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya. • Organized and facilitated a seminar covering “Cocaine, Heroin, Morphine and Opium: The most Devastating Drugs in our Communities", knowledge of identifying abusers and intervention strategies at the Vingujini Educational Welfare Association (VEWA)/Plan International (Kenya) Drug Abuse and HIV/AIDS Awareness Project at Msambweni, Kwale District on 27th April 2004. • Organized and facilitated an HIV/AIDS and Drug Abuse Awareness Seminar held between 26th April – 30th April 2004 at Msambweni Division, Kwale District- Sponsored by Plan International (Kenya Chapter).
