3. LINES
Introduction :-
A line is a one-
dimensional figure, which has length but no
width. A line is made of a set of points which
is extended in opposite directions infinitely.
5. INTERSECTING LINES:- TWO OR MORE LINES WHICH
SHARE EXACTLY ONE COMMON POINT ARE CALLED
INTERSECTING LINES.
NON-INTERSECTING LINES:- TWO OR MORE LINES
THAT DO NOT INTERSECT EACH OTHER ARE CALLED
NON-INTERSECTING LINES.
6. PERPENDICULAR LINES:- Two lines that intersect
each other to form a right angel are called
perpendicular lines.
7. PARALLEL LINES:- Parallel lines are lines in a
plane which do not meet; that is, two straight lines
in a plane that do not intersect at any point are said
to be parallel.
8. TRANSVERSAL LINE :- A transversal is
a line thst passes through two lines in the same
plane at two distinct points.Transversal play a role
in establishing wheter two or more other lines in the
Euclidean plane are parallel.
9. ANGLES
An angle can be defined as the figure
formed by two rays meeting at a common
end point. An angle is represented by the
symbol ∠.
10. TYPES OF ANGLES
Acute Angle
Right Angle
Obtuse Angle
Straight Angle
Reflex Angle
Full Angle
11. ACUTE ANGLE :- An angle that is less than 90
degree.
RIGHT ANGLE:- An angle that is exactly 90
degree.
12. OBTUSE ANGLE :- An angle that is greater than
90 degree & less than 180 degree.
STRAIGHT ANGLE :- An angle that is exactly 180
degree.
13. REFLEX ANGLE :- An angle that is greater than
180 degree & less than 360 degree.
FULL ANGLE :- An angle that is excatly 360
degree.
