2. The most difficult population to teach is the
teenagers. They are not really motivated to
learn anything including English; in this
specific case I would only be focused on the
lack of motivation students might have
studying English. Some reasons could be the
class content and the personal issues
students could have.
3. Some teens just found this class the most
difficult one they could ever had, or
sometimes they found this class:
The most boring (topics)
The most difficult
Another reason is that they have another
activities besides English, so they decide
what is more important to them.
4. General
The general objective is to describe through
my experience how I worked with teenagers
who were not motivated to learn English at
Harmon Hall.
5. Particular Objectives
To show how I dealt with the lack of
motivation in teenagers.
To describe the results obtained from the
techniques used with the teenagers
To share the experiences I had with particular
students and also the moments my
techniques did not work so future teachers
learn from them and modify them so their
techniques work.
6. What strategies did I use when having the
lack of motivation and lack of interest from
teens when learning English at Harmon Hall
Chetumal?
Were these strategies helpful for teenagers

Realia: not a theory but worked as I used real stuff to teach
Experiencial Learning: Students learned better when we act out some
scenarios of the real life so they face the real world in a way.
Game Theory: playing games in class with a purpose is important and
motivate students more and more.
