3. BASKETBALL
Basketball has been an interest of mine since the
fourth grade. When I started practicing a lot and
joined a rep team, I realized that basketball was
something I also had a skill in.
Tactile- Basketball relates to tactile learning because
a lot of time you learn new drill and better your skill
by “doing.
Auditory- Basketball relates to auditory because you
must listen to your coach’s instructions whilst you
are on the court
Visual- Basketball relates to visual learning because
when being taught new plays they first get written on
a chalk or whiteboard
4. Swimming
I have loved swimming and being in the water for
my whole life. I loved it so much I even swam
competitively for six years. Swimming is definitely
one of my interests.
Visual- swimming is very visual, you use the flags
on the end of the pool to indicate that you need to
prepare for the walls. Also watching videos your
coach takes also helps to improve your stroke.
Auditory- swimming is auditory in the sense you
use the buzzer to indicate the start of the race and
a bell to indicate you only have one lap left
Tactile- swimming is tactile because you learn how
to to the strokes by just going in the water and
doing them
5. Traveling
I have a huge interest in traveling and visiting
new places. I love all of the sights, food, and
experiences that come from visiting different
places.
Tactial- Traveling is very tactile, you are
constantly walking from place to place, and
taking part in activities to get the most out of
your travels
Visual- When visiting new places you are open
to many new amazing views and sights also
when driving you have to read maps to be able
to get from place to place
6. Science
Science has recently become something that I
have been interested in and something that I
have discovered that I am good at.
Tactile- Science is one subject that is extremely
tactile. You are constantly doing experiments
and working with your hands.
Visual- Science is also visual. Looking and
recreating diagrams is something that is done in
many different areas in science.
7. Reading
I discovered my love for reading when I had to
silent read in the fourth grade. I instantly fell in
love with all of the different storylines,
characters, and the escape from reality that
literature had to offer
Visual- Reading is mainly visual. You read
words written on on a page and a image of what
is being read pops into your mind. You create a
look for the characters based on the author's
description and that’s how they a re imagined
through the entirety of the story.
9. Doctor
Tactile- working with doctor’s equipment,
assessing patients
Visual- Looking at patients to discovers anything
that is wrong
Auditory- Listening to patients to learn what
symptoms and issues they have.
This connects to my interest and skill in science.
Doctors have to learn a lot about biology,
something I really enjoy, to understand more about
the human body. They also have to understand
chemistry for the medicine and effects it will have
Reading about patients medical history and doing
research on issues will also connect to my interest
in reading
10. Athletic Therapist
Tactial- You need to be able to help people with
sports related injuries to overcome them. This
might me helping them with exercising to
strengthen the part of the body that is injured
Auditory- Listen to the people you are working
with in order to get a better understanding of their
injury
This career relates to my interest in basketball and
swimming I understand what it is like to be an
injured athlete, so I will be able to connect with the
people I am helping and empathize with what they
are going through. I also have a better
understanding of sports, which will give me an
understanding of how the injury could occur
11. Veterinarian
Tactial- assessing animals and discovering what
what is wrong
Visual- visually assessing animals to see what
visual aspects are making them ill
Auditory- Listening to their owners talk about
indicators to an issue
This relates to my interest in science because you
would use medication and need an understanding
of anatomy is based on the subject of science
Reading about animals and doing research on
issues and breakthroughs would also relate to my
intrest of reading. I also have a love for animals
and would love to work with them everyday.
