1. Indian Student Guide to Apply for UK Study Visa
The UK is one of the prominent study abroad destination for Indian Students. Indian
students are required to obtain a student visa to pursue an education in the United
Kingdom. The student Visa comes with eligibility and set of regulations which every
student is required to comply with.
Types of UK Student Visas -
1: Tier 4 (general student visa) – Most applied UK Student Visa, Tier 4 (General)
Student visa is for the students applying for higher education. Students for this
particular visa should be over 16 years of age and have an offer of a course from a
UK University.
2: Tier 4 (Child) student visa – This particular visa is valid for students who are in

• Overseas students with a student visa can work up to 20 hours a week during
studies when pursuing a course at level 6 or above.
• Overseas students with a student visa can work full time which is 40 hours a
week during holiday periods.
• After graduation overseas student can work full-time in the UK; if the job is in
the relevant field with a minimum salary of 20,000 GBP
• Overseas Students get six months to find a job after they graduate.

• The student should have an unconditional offer of a place on a course with a
licensed Tier 4 sponsor institution
• English Fluency
• Enough finance to support self and pay for the educational course
Document required while applying for Tier 4 Visa –
• A valid Passport
• CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for studies) reference number and documents
used to obtain CAS
• Passport Size Photograph
• Documents to prove that student can financially support self and pay for the
educational programme
• Tuberculosis Test is required
• Parental or legal guardian consent if the student is under 18
