2. Ellen Keane was born on the 6th of April 1995. She
grew up in Clontarf in Dublin. She has a brother and
a sister.

3. She was born without part of her left arm below her elbow but
went on to represent Ireland in the Paralympics.

4. I admire her courage, positive attitude, and
dedication. She is an inspirational woman
because she has disabilities and is a great
swimmer.

5. She competed in three
Paralympic Games.

6. She has won a bronze
medal in the Paralympics.

7. She is Ireland's youngest athlete when she
swam in the 2008 Paralympic s at the age
of 13!

8. She is studying in DIT in
Dublin.

9. She started swimming
when she was 2.

10. She is still alive today.
