SUMMARY
I have extensive experience in producing high quality mechanical engineering designs and drawings
including machined parts, sheet metal parts, assembly drawings and electrical schematics that must meet
specific standards. My experience also includes compiling assembly stock lists. My key strengths
include: Ability to work independently or in a team environment to accomplish vital goal to the benefit of
the company. I have excellent skills in computer aided design (CAD). I am proficient in the use of a
variety of computer software programs, including MS-Word, MS-Excel and specific design software such
as Windchill and Pro-Engineer (a sophisticated and Professional CAD program). I am self-motivated to
succeed and I require little or no supervision.
DISTINGUISHED SKILLS
• Production of designs and drawings in accordance with military specifications, and company
standards.
• Electro/Mechanical Design and Drafting skills, including sheet metal design and electronics
packaging.
• Various drafting and design software programs including: (Electrical) FutureNet, (Mechanical
drafting/design including 3D solid modeling) Pro-E (Wildfire, Creo), AutoCAD, VersaCAD,
CADAM, (configuration management tools) Windchill, Pro/IntraLink, and Matrix.
• Conscientious in precision design and in process continuous improvement.
WORK HISTORY
Feb. 1999 to July 2015 - GE Critical Power, Plano TX
(GE purchased us when we were Lineage Power. Lineage Power was previously Tyco Electronics, Tyco
International, Lucent, AT&T and Western Electric). I began in Feb 1999 as a contractor working for
CDI Corporation, Irving, TX. I converted to a direct employee on June 9, 2003, and we became a GE
company (GE Critical Power, Plano, TX) on Feb. 28, 2011
• My major responsibilities regarding my engineering work with GE Critical Power is the design of
Outdoor Power Cabinets which contain and protect electronics equipment that is mainly used in
the telecom industry. Our major customers are AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Cisco, and Google.
• I have designed power cabinets and auxiliary battery cabinets that provide battery backup for the
power cabinets when an electrical outage occurs.
• I have designed Power Distribution products and electrical breaker boxes and panels to be sold as
standalone products or to be installed in our integrated cabinet products.
• I’ve worked in a team of engineers in what is called ESS which stands for Engineered Site
Solutions. The ESS is a team at GE Critical Power that installs “Turn-Key” cell sites in “On-
Grid” or “Off-Grid” locations including remote and or mountainous locations where there is no
commercial power grid. Our “Off-Grid” sites work with generator power, renewable power
sources (Solar), and battery backup power for when the primary power sources fail.

(Contract employment through CDI Corporation, Irving TX
• I worked with Engineers in the design of the Peterbilt 387 model truck cab.
• I worked extensively in the design of the dashboard, including the use of Pro-E modeling and
Pro-E Surfacing in designing the glove box, glove box hinge design, ashtray and its mounting,
CB radio mounting, trailer brake valve mounting in the instrument panel, and woodgrain trim
design.
• I worked with vendors specific to plastic molding (vacform and injection molding)
• Released new drawings, database management, and revised existing drawings in the ECO
(Engineering Change Order) process.
1994-1998 – FSI International, Allen TX
FSI International is a leading producer of processing equipment for microchip production.
• Designed sheet metal air supply ducts for silicon wafer spinner tool. Also designed the process
exhaust system for the same tool including the exhaust throttle for the system. Designed the
molded plastic part called the deflector in the spinner tool. Also designed the frame for the tool
which required creating mounting accommodations for all the subcomponents and devices that
would mount directly to the frame.
• Mechanical designer and drawing/document checker. Involved in the design and documentation
checking of assembly drawings, machined part drawings, weldments, and verification of parts
lists.
• Conducted and instructed classes in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Established design department documentation checking procedures.
• Created and was responsible for department CAD file management system.
• Worked closely with engineers and other designers to optimize concepts and designs.
• Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
(writing/reviewing/checking/approving).
