• Oxidase-positive, Strict aerobe, Gram –ve rods
• A major Cause of Nosocomial Infections.
• Infection Occur in Patients with Altered Host
Defences, Wounds or Burns.
• In Non-Hospitalized Patients:
• Vehicles of Transmission:

4. • LABORATORY DIAGNOSIS:
– On BA
• Irregular, β -hemolytic colonies
• Oxidase-positive
• O-F test >> Aerobic
– On NA
• Bluish, irregular colonies
• TREATMENT
– Resistant to antimicrobial agents
• CONTROL
