  2. 2. What is a podcast?<br />Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines “podcast” as “a program (as of music or talk) made available in digital format for automatic download over the Internet.” <br />
  3. 3. But why “podcast”?<br />Adam Curry – “The Podfather”<br />Dave Winer – Creator of RSS 2.0<br />
  4. 4. Do I need a license to podcast?<br />Podcasts are not regulated.<br />Podcasts do not have to adhere to the FCC’s decency regulation.<br />But, copyright law does apply to podcasts.<br />

  13. 13. PUBLISH: Upload<br />Once your file is edited, it needs to be put somewhere where it can be downloaded by your audience.<br />If you have a blog, you have a place to put your file. You can upload your audio file in the same way you already upload pictures.<br />
  14. 14. PUBLISH: RSS<br />RSS Feed File<br />If you are already blogging, your blogging software (WordPress, Blogger, etc.) will build an RSS feed for you.<br />It will create a URL that points to your podcast file. That’s what you need to submit to iTunes and such.<br />
