5. TEXT: 1 TIMOTHY 3:1-7
• 3 HERE IS A TRUSTWORTHY SAYING: WHOEVER ASPIRES TO BE AN
OVERSEER DESIRES A NOBLE TASK. 2 NOW THE OVERSEER IS TO BE ABOVE
REPROACH, FAITHFUL TO HIS WIFE, TEMPERATE, SELF-CONTROLLED,
RESPECTABLE, HOSPITABLE, ABLE TO TEACH, 3 NOT GIVEN TO
DRUNKENNESS, NOT VIOLENT BUT GENTLE, NOT QUARRELSOME, NOT A LOVER
OF MONEY. 4 HE MUST MANAGE HIS OWN FAMILY WELL AND SEE THAT HIS
CHILDREN OBEY HIM, AND HE MUST DO SO IN A MANNER WORTHY OF
FULL[A] RESPECT. 5 (IF ANYONE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO MANAGE HIS OWN
FAMILY, HOW CAN HE TAKE CARE OF GOD’S CHURCH?) 6 HE MUST NOT BE A
RECENT CONVERT, OR HE MAY BECOME CONCEITED AND FALL UNDER THE SAME
JUDGMENT AS THE DEVIL. 7 HE MUST ALSO HAVE A GOOD REPUTATION WITH
OUTSIDERS, SO THAT HE WILL NOT FALL INTO DISGRACE AND INTO THE DEVIL’S
TRAP.
6. 3 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a
bishop, he desires a good work. 2 A bishop then must be
blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-
minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not
given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle,
not quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his own
house well, having his children in submission with all
reverence 5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own
house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a
novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same
condemnation as the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good
testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into
reproach and the snare of the devil.
7. 1 TIMOTHY 5:8
• BUT IF ANY PROVIDE NOT FOR HIS OWN, AND SPECIALLY FOR THOSE OF HIS
OWN HOUSE, HE HATH DENIED THE FAITH, AND IS WORSE THAN AN INFIDEL.
8. IF THE FOUNDATIONS BE DESTROYED WHAT WILL
THE RIGHTEOUS DO……. PSALM 11:3

ONLY, AM LEFT, AND THEY SEEK MY LIFE, TO TAKE IT AWAY.” 15 AND THE LORD

16. 3 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a

blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-
minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not

Editor's Notes
IF THE DEVIL WISHES TO DESTROY, HE ATTACKS THE FAIMILY. AND GOD BLESSES HUMANITY THROUGH THE FAMILY GENESIS
Genesis 2 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[h] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
The Fall
3 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
IF THE FOUNDATIONS BE DESTROYED WHAT WILL THE RIGHTEOUS DO……. PSALM 11:3
1 Corinthians 9:9-14
9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? 10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. 11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? 12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless, we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. 13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? 14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
MOSES:
John G Lakes
MEGA CHURCH PASTOR:
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Abusive relationships: Pastor fighting with Mother. , Abusive and violent spouses.
…4Recalling your tears, I long to see you so that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am convinced is in you as well. 6For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.…
Mrk 6:31: Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat.
1 Tim4:8 :8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
Acts 18: 1-3 18 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
Rom 16:3 Greet Priscilla[a] and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. 4 They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.
