Institutional Characteristic Leadership
 Teacher Librarians are active within both staff meetings and stage planning meetings.
 Teacher Librarians provide training and education in new ICT resources to school staff.
 Teacher Librarians are also able to make suggestions the use of resources to be utilised within
student learning.
 Teacher Librarians also work with the School Principal (Green, 2011, para. 24-27).

An important aspect of this characteristic is that Teacher Librarians are able to adapt to cross the student body. o Teacher Librarians are also able to communicate new ideas and develop positive relationships with all areas of the school. o By being proactive Teacher Librarians are able to reflect upon their skills and look for ways to improve on the areas that are not as strong (Green, 2011, para. 15-18). Institutional Characteristic Leadership  Teacher Librarians are active within both staff meetings and stage planning meetings.  Teacher Librarians provide training and education in new ICT resources to school staff.  Teacher Librarians are also able to make suggestions the use of resources to be utilised within student learning.  Teacher Librarians also work with the School Principal (Green, 2011, para. 24-27). Individual Characteristics Leadership  Teacher Librarians are proactive in organising and maintaining their Professional Development.  This Professional Development then assists with advancing student learning.  Teacher Librarians keep track of new and current best practice and implement these into the school library (Green, 2011, para. 6).
