An alumnus of Buffalo Grove High School in Illinois, Georgette Topalis was the school's 2017
Female Athlete of the Year and a four-year member of its varsity soccer team. Now studying
psychology at Winona State University, Georgette Topalis is a forward on the school's soccer
team.
3. Georgette Topalis' First Two Seasons at Winona
State
Through the first five games of the 2019 season, Topalis has scored three of Winona State's seven
goals, two of which came in the team's lone victory against the University of Northern Michigan.
This equals her goal total in her sophomore season, when she scored three goals on 36 shots in
17 games and logged 1,015 minutes on the field. She registered a season-high five shots and
scored one goal in the opening game of the 2018 season against Upper Iowa and scored her other
two goals against Northern State and the University of Mary.
4. Georgette Topalis' First Two Seasons at Winona
State
Topalis' playing time was limited as a freshman, as she played only 360 minutes in 15 games. She
was held off the scoresheet for her first nine games, but scored her first career goal at the college
level in a 3-1 victory over Southwest Minnesota. She recorded what stood as the game-winning
goal at the 26th minute on a chip pass from Abby Bohanski.
